Replacement chain performance,
January 14, 2008
"The ICS concrete saw works great. It does take some experience for optimum performance. One chain will cut out a door or two windows in a 10" concrete wall. Cuts right through the rebar. As the chain wears it get narrower so the bar starts to bind before all cutting material on the chain is used up. Old chain will still work for a shallow cut. Best part of this saw is the plunge cut that allows for square corners without over cutting. If you are doing a lot of work, it is best to have a spare chain on hand. The cost compares favorably with a rented ring saw for cutting the same amount of concrete."
