Northern Tools Band Saw is Great,

"This thing is great. I haven't used it alot so I can't give it a full review. But I have used it several times with great success. It makes short work of 3.5" galvonized steel dock poles. It also does a great job of cutting old angle iron and 2" round stock. It cuts quickly and easily, and the cut is very predictable. The motor is strong and the unit feels very solid and together. This seems like a really good product and so far it is. My experience with it has been every bit as good as the similar Milwaukee unit."

"This product works really well. I dont have much experience with other porta bands but I am happy with my purchase. Make sure you attach the metal guide, or foot, that comes with the porta band. If you dont have it on, the band will bind when you cut. This saw has plenty of power, and cuts through things easily."

"I purchased this band saw to cut out the old drain pipes in our house to install new PVC ones. The pipes were 4" overhead cast iron. This band saw made quick work of removing the pipes and cutting them into manageable sizes. I had thought about purchasing a Milwaukee Porta-Band but decided to give this one a try. I'm glad I did. I saved myself over a hundred dollars."

"I don't use a band saw all that often but this tool is just what I needed to have in my shop for those infrequent times I may need it to cut metal. I sure didn't need a more expensive tool setting around so this one suited my needs. I have cut 2" tubing, angle iron and bolts for some projects I have going on now that I'm retired and it sure beats using the hacksaw or the acetylene torch for clean accurate cutting."
