Just What I Needed,
November 2, 2009
By BrettG
from Wickenburg, AZ
"I bought this inverter so I could operate small 110V equipment out of my horse trailer. Installation was simple, and the inverter has proven to be very useful. I can get it to operate my portable electric pump, which has made filling up and draining the on-board water tank much faster. I can even do a little camping without having to fire up a generator.
This unit is nice and quiet. It does not buzz loudly at the upper end of the load, and works well with my on-board deep cycle battery. I've been using it now for about two years, and it has withstood all the typical banging around that happens on trailers. Functionality and durablilty is all I could have asked for, and it's what I have gotten out of this unit."

Much Love,

"Use this one for a recently built barn, that due to distance from power line had to go on solar power. It powers lights and receptacles, including one that powers a small electric pump for the water supply. So far it works like a champ and has been in use since purchase."

1500 Watt Inverter,

"This item was purchased to install in our Travel trailer to allow us to run AC equipment without having to run our generator. I connected the inverter directly to the backup batteries and installed the unit inside the RV for easy access.
It really works great to run fans when we do not want to run the generator and we can also run other things such as the laptop.

Northern Industrial 1500 Watt Inverter,
November 17, 2008
By LEPOHL
"I used this inverter with a 12V Marine battery when we were without power for several day after Hurricane Ike. It performed as advertised and I would have given it a 5 star rating, but it didn't come with any cables to connect to the battery."

"We use these inverters at jobsites and during the hurricane and did not have any issues with performance. We found out that you can not run a refrigerator but can run a tv and dvd player for the kids with no problems. At work, we use them to run our Rotary Hammers at jobsites with no problems also."

Way more powerful than stated!!,

"I bought this for use during power failures along with our standby generator-as a second backup... We were able to connect allot more than we expected to the inverter, using a bank of just six deep-cycle "yellow top" car batteries connected in parallel. It ran a window AC unit, our 52" LCD TV, the stereo, even made coffee, and several lights all at once without a fast drain. All that with NO NOISY generator or fumes! To the ONE bad review I read here before buying this inverter, It CLEARLY states in the manual (that we READ) that you must reset the unit if low battery shut-off occurs, or the output power WON'T come back on. That's as simple as turning the ON/OFF switch off and back on! Beyond that, we simply connected the car with jumper cables to recharge every few hours when everything was running and had a SILENT power system for DAYS after a hurricane recently, and the corolla used less gas than a SMALL generator that couldn't have handled all those things at once. I would suggest this over a Generator to anyone-beginner or pro! This thing stayed COOL and continued to work for DAYS like this. I am so impressed I am replacing the standby generator. One battery WON'T run this with big loads for long-as it ALSO says in the manual, and SOME MOTORS and batter chargers or some electronics like PURE SINE WAVE power ONLY, and this inverter makes 'MODIFIED sine wave' power output. Worked FINE for everything we needed-INCLUDING our 2 computers! It says ALL this in the MANUAL that you should read first before using. It explains all of these things. For 99% of the things we have plugged in it is FANTASTIC! Even ran the washing machine (by itself) and then the gas dryer and that worked fine as well! Cannot wait to get the 3000 watt model next!"

Awesome Inverter,
September 1, 2008
By JoshM

"I bought this inverter to upgrade from the smaller one I had for my battery bank in my house which is connected to a 15 watt solar panel, and a 400 watt wind mill. I have 4 batteries 2 Marine Deep Cycle and 2 Industrial. This inverter is excellent so far has handled any load I have put to it. Ran the 42 in. LCD Television, Satellite, VCR, DVD Player, and Security System all at once with no problem at all. The screen reads the voltage on the battery input, and the voltage output in AC, It also read the watts that is being drawn from the inverter.
I recommend hooking the inverter up to the batteries with 12/2 House solid wire or smaller guage, the wires stay cool and no voltage loss. Also attaching a good toggle switch from the battery to the inverter to cut the power when not in use to eliminate the draw from the capacitor.
I would recommend this inverter to anyone, it is very good quality and is good priced."

Inverter,
August 11, 2008

"The product looks good and is easy to handle. I like the large thumbscrews that secure the jumper wires to the unit. It does not work well with all my power tools. I have tried to use the inverter with a Hilti hammer drill. The hammer drill does not get proper power to run at its normal speed. Other tools have worked OK."

"I spend a lot of time outdoors, and in some cases I needed and inverter to run some of my tools, especially while in the woods. So I purchased this Sunforce 1500 Watt Inverter and I must say I am very pleased with it. Some of my tools are battery operated and most are not. Now I can use what I need, anywhere, anytime I need it to get the job done easier with less headache. Thanks for a good product."
