"I paired this solar heater with the 1500g and am measuring 155 degrees of heat out of the vent. (Your results may differ) I expect to save considerably on heat costs this winter even though my area only gets an average of 4.5 hrs of sunlight per day. (I still get a reduced but noticeable heating advantage on lightly cloudy days as well!) For northerners where other types of solar energy collection don't make economic sense, this solution can really pay off. Plus, it's mechanically simple, with the solar fan in the 1500g being the only moving part."
