"I live well of the beaten path, and commercial electricity is not readily available.
As a result, I rely heavily on solar power with battery backup. I have two of these devices hooked up in parralell, one directly to my inverter (which costs a fortune and not easily replaced) and one to a bank of standard marrine batteries. The controllers work perfectly and I don't have to worry about overcharging the bank of batteries as was the situation I had had before. The controller hooked to the Inverter has allowed it's operation without overpowering it. In addition, I tried other controllers, but they (In addition to being much more expensive) caused burnout of the previous inverters and failed to operate properly in my configuration. Over the next few months, I intend on getting at least two more as I increase my solar capability and add wind power generators to my configuration."
