Drill/driver,
August 27, 2008
By KPLHfrom Grand Gorge,NY
"My husband bought the cordless drill/driver and I LOVE it!! It is so nice to have two tools readily available while working. I'm able to either have two different screwdriver heads or a drill bit and nut driver and at the twist of the head I can use either one without fumbling around for another tool."

GREAT CORDLESS DRILL,
August 23, 2008
By LEWALLfrom EMMAUS, PA
"I bought this to replace my 12 volt De-Walt that lasted seven years. I was impressed with the durability of the 12 volt. I was even more impressed with the 14.4 volt. I have used it to drill through concrete, as well as steel. The motor has held up well in the three years I own this drill. It has a good amount of torque. The battery comes off easily, The XRP battery has a long life to it. The drill is well balanced and has a good feel in my hand. The fact that the chuck is 1/2 inch, I can get a paint mixer or mud mixer in the chuck. I have owned other cordless drills, but De-Walt seems to have the best combination of torque, speed, power, and durability. The owner of our company has another name brand cordless drill, but he keeps borrowing the De-Walts."

Best Darn Battery Powered Drill You Can Buy,
August 23, 2008
By MikeB50from Upatoi, GA
"I've had 2 of these 14.4 volt Dewalts for 7+ years and they have both been awesome to use around my farm. I built 15 acres of wood fencing and drove many many 6 and 8 inch screws and built many many additions to my barn and projects to fix numerous wood projects and I can tell you there is none better. Wanted to get the new 18 volt but these things keep going and going :)"

Great tool,
August 19, 2008
By Phils53from Arkansas
"I have used De Walt's cordless 14.4 for over 14 years. I wouldn't be without them. I own three, two of the regulars and one of the lighter weight models. All have preformed without any problems and with basically no maintenance . It has power enough to break screws but is light enough to use all day. It stands up on its battery pack so its handy when you need a a third hand. I have all the battery power I need as all my cordless are De Walt 14.4's. I install cabinets and do handyman work, the De Walt is simply the best."

14.4 CORDLESS Dewalt drill,
August 18, 2008
By swgsfrom Santa Fe, New Mexico
"The one I use almost very day is my second one. The first one was about two years old and still worked great, but someone deceided they wanted it more than me and stoled it out of my service truck. I brought the current one about 18 months ago and it works great. I do gas piping and appliance installation and the 14.4 volt Dewalt is just the right size and wieght for working in tight spaces and overhead."

An Excellent Tool,
August 18, 2008
By Buckmanfrom Ohio
"Whether you're a weekend warrior or a veteran craftsman, this drill will suit just about all of your drilling and driving needs. The tool packs plenty of power and adjustment into an easy to operate package. I have worked construction and for several steel mills, and dewalt tools are commonplace at both of these harsh environments. The tool is built well and performs consistently. I use the speed settings often (1 and 2 for driving, 3 for drilling) and the torque settings are excellent. Battery life with the XRP packs is great, and recharge quickly (usually an hour or less). The drill will also survive just about anything. I have seen dewalt drills dropped from rooftops with no change in performance. It's nice to pick up a tool that you know will work no matter what. Overall I would recommend this drill to anyone needing a quality unit for home or work."

used and abused at work highly recommended,
August 18, 2008
By forestfrom st paul, mn
"I use this drill at work and I have to say it goes through alot and still seems to work highly recommended just wish the battery would last a little longer it dies quite often can go through 3 pretty quick. at work we use the drill to work on rock climbing walls and hand hold production wich means we drill alot of holes in wall panels and holds and when doing panels we could go non stop drilling for hours at a time and the drill still holds up its quite amazing. also the thing is being used in very dusty dirty environment lots of resin and fiberglass gets all over it and it doesnt seem to effect it."

Dewalt DC930KA,
August 11, 2008
By farmer01from Ashland, KY
"An excellent tool, I have used it on many project's and installs, the batteries provide a long use time between charges and charge back to full charge in a short period of time. The key-less chuck works very well and has never jammed. Bit changes are fast and the clutch and torque setting work perfectly. I work in the HVACR business and drive many screws and hangers daily this drill has outperformed many other models I have tried and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a professional tool to do quality work with high reliability."

Door Doctor's 14.4V Cordless Drill/Driver,
April 21, 2008
By RDB57from Yuma, AZ
"Working on a Marine Corps Air Station, I carry two of these drills on my truck and use both of them extensively every day perfoming maintenance as well as repairing/replacing doors. Durability, torque, and ease of handling being paramount in this job; this drill has become one of the most valuable tools I use wherever my job takes me. Installing, repairing or replacing various types of wood and metal doors, door frames, door hydraulic units and other hardware, the chuckless quickchange jaws make switching bits or drivers a snap. The torque drives/removes even the toughest bolts and screws, so much so that it has snapped several of my DEWALT flat-tip and cross-tip screwdriver bits as well as screw and bolt heads. I've used these drills for over a year, dropped or knocked them from ladders, flatbeds and bucket loaders without a problem, due in part to the rubber bumpers built into the frame. The stowage areas on the side of the frame base enable me to carry two extra hex drivers or screwdriver bits. The no-memory, quick charge battery/charger allow me to use a battery to it's lowest level, put it in the battery charger and be ready to go again before my backup battery is used up, which helps when I have a really busy schedule or get called in on an emergency maintenance job. Normally, under heavy usage, I will get a full 6-8 hours of work per charge from each battery. I've worked with several other different brand name drills, but my DEWALT 14.4 Cordless drills have proven themselves time and time again. I thoroughly enjoy using the DEWALT 14.4 Cordless Drill/Driver.
I recently acquired two 18V DEWALT drills, one of which is also a Hammer Drill and am using them in addition to the 14.4V Drill/Driver for comparison. Thanks, DEWALT!"

This is the best cordless I've ever used,
April 21, 2008
By TheMakerfrom Boston, Ma
"I use this Drill at work and at home, if you're a professional or just a home handyman this drill gets the job done. It has tons of power, and an electric brake. The first time you charge it up and hit the trigger you'll be impressed, but after driving screws and all around drilling through any material... You'll be in love."

dewalt 14.4 drill&driver,
April 21, 2008
By jeich55from Morrison IL
"this is a really good unit. Lots of torque, will drive screws through any material. I love the electronic brake,it stops immediately when you let off the trigger. It holds a charge for a long time allowing you to do a lot of work before changing batteries. It charges quickly so between the two batteries you can keep working without interuption. I would highly recommend this unit for handyman or contractor."
