"I purchased the Load Handler 3000 to use with my old F250. I oftentimes need to move dirt, stones, gravel, and most recently woodchips. My wife and I moved 12 yards a woodchips and mulched several large areas in a matter of hours. This device really saved a lot of labor. It is easy to install, operate, and remove when not in use. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
There were some minor issues:
1. If you use it on a ot day the tape that holds the fabric to the rod can get soft and tend to slip off the rod. I made the mistake of pulling too much fabric off the roll and not leaving several wraps on the rod. Easy fix with some duct tape.
2. If your load settles out into the wheel well areas of the box then there is some clean-up to do before your next load. The Load Handler takes out 95% plus of the load but there is that little bit you have to shovel/sweep out. Some well places side skirts may do the trick to help this.
3. The attachment straps for the tailgate can get in the way of cleaning out the tailgate. Big loads tend to collect on the ends of the tailgate outside of the fabric path. You need a little extra time to clean these areas before the next load.
Other than those few minor issues, I think it is a great time saver. The slippery bed mat may help with really heavy loads. I have a softer style spray-in urethane bed liner and it worked just fine."
