"I am a self-employed pest management specialist and was in need of a replacement pump for my 5 gallon backpack sprayer. I found this SHURflo pump on Northern Tool and couldn't be happier! Works better than my original pump and that's saying alot. I use this sprayer everyday and needed a dependable replacement pump to get the work done. Northern Tool got it to me within 36 hours. The SHURflo fit perfectly and wiring was simple."

"Pro- used as a replacement for my sprayer. Fit fine. I had to install a swtich, no biggie. Turned it on and immeditley built and held pressure!! Mi-tee-fine product for spot spraying.
Con- I wished I had got the 1.8 gal/min. I needed a bit mor volume for my boom. Well I guess I'll get it next!! All in all, I am a happy camper."

"I have several of the shurflow pressure demand pumps. Never a problem, with the exception of mineral deposits from the water I use to mix roundup. Then it only takes minutes to disassemble the pump, clean and reassemble. And the best aspect of this product, parts are available from shurflow."

"I purchased this pump to replace the original pump on on a 16 gallon sprayer. This pump was a near perfect replacement and installation was quick. It performs at least as good as the original. It extended the life of the sprayer with about half the cost of a new one."

"This pump came on a NorthStar sprayer and did not even last a half of a season. It just quit--very cheaply made and don't be fooled by the rave reviews--they just haven't had a failure yet! I would look for another barnd."

"This pump is great for use in a water injection setup for turbocharged cars. Sturdy, cheap, rebuildable, reliable. The on-demand pressure sensor has too wide a difference between on/off pressures to use in WI setup though, you need to either run it continuously, or have a pressure regulator."

"i purchase a mod.8000 shurflo 12 volt pump in 2001 mainly to spray weed killer it was easy to hook up.i was optimistic about how long it would hold up in using the different types of weed killers on the market.but i must say that it is still working find.i also use it to spray insecticide on my vegetable garden and ant beds.when this pump goes out you can bet i will purchase another one.thanks
