Wind Power Disaster,
March 24, 2009
"We purchased and installed our Skystream 3.7 in October 2007and had it installed through a licensed dealer for use as a grid augmentation system. The first unit was shipped in non-operational condition with a bad inverter. The replacement unit functioned but failed after less than 2 months. Power company and two dealers confirmed correct installation. Southwest Windpower failed to respond to calls and dealer inquiries for over 7 months, but finally after numerous threats over an additional 3 months, shipped a new inverter which was installed in October 2008. Power company certified installation and correct operation. Unit failed completely after less than 4 months. Southwest Windpower has refused to return calls from the local dealer and had to be contacted through registered mail. Unit has now been up for 17 months and has not functioned for 11 months. I would never buy or recommend another product from Southwest Windpower."
