solar gable fan,

"This product is great ! It is easy to install and the solar panel keeps the fan running even on partly sunny days. I installed the solar panel on my roof , which faces south, in under an hour. Installed the fan in less than a half an hour. It keeps my attic pretty cool considering I have a full attic. You might need 2 of these units depending on how big your attic is and how hot it gets. My house faces south with no shade on the roof. For the price you can't beat it."

Moving Air!,

"Quick and easy to install My attic holds heat and makes the upstaires areas very hot during warm summer weather. I installed the unit in less than 1.5 hours two days ago and have noticed increased evening comfort levels. Just for laughs I climbed a ladder to the gable end vent to check the operation and was met with a blast of heat being shot out of the vent. I installed with only the single solar panel and had to fabricate extension legs for one side to maximize exposure, but not too hard a job."

Good 1st vent,

"This fan is a great addition to passive roof venting. I wanted to exhaust more heated attic air to try to reduce my cooling costs for the living space. My attic will routinely get 50-60 degrees hotter than the inside room temperature in my upstairs on sunny days here in Iowa. (I measure it with a remote wireless thermostat.) I can't tell for certain that it has made great differences in the temperature because there are so many variables in daily outside temperature and I didn't chart it scientifically beforehand. Even so, I know it is useful - it's solar so there's no electrical cost daily and it exhausts hot air so its working. It blows a decent amount of air in full sunlight and even some on cloudy days. I think adding one or two more would be helpful but I'll wait and save up a few dollars before buying another. My only wish is they were less expensive and blew more air. Regardless, it is a good unit and easy to install."
