Solar Charger Controller,

"I purchased this item earlier this year. I had no problem connecting to the solar panel. I checked voltages as per specifications and it did what it said it would do. I have left it connected to the solar for an auxilliary charger for my tent trailer. it has work with the solar panel to keep the battery charged all summer. No complaints.

either poor quality or my bad luck,
March 22, 2009
"I have got 2 of these and can not get either one of them to work right. The first one would not let any volts through to the battery. I took it back and had a hard time getting them to trade it for another one.( I only had it 2 day with store receipt. Had to talk to 3 differant people) Then when I got the second one the green charged light stays on all the time, even when a battery is low. This product has got great reviews in the past so either the quailty has went down or I just have very bad luck!!"

Solar charge controller performance.,
November 17, 2008
By tjehlers from Tieton, WA
"I have used the controller continuously for the last six months without any failures. It appears to run more efficiently closer to the batteries as opposed to closer to the panels. I would recommend however, as an improvement to enchance efficiency, to increase the wire size of the unit to at least 12 gauge. I have used other brand controllers prior to this and have experienced a high failure rate. I am currently running four 15 watt panels thru the controller and could run at least two more with no problem. I am very satisfied thus far with its performance and recommend it over other brands."
