Great product for the price,

"I needed a heat gun that I could use primarily on heat shrink tubing. I do quite a bit of motorcycle and automobile wiring and always use heat shrink tubing to insulate any connections. I bought this gun in April 2008 and it has worked flawlessly. It heats quickly and can fit into tight spaces. The various tip adaptors allow you to direct the heat to a large or small area. The included scrapers work great as heat shields. The 2-heat settings allow you to regulate the amount of heat applied. It is a great product and well worth the money."

Good Heat Gun Kit,
November 2, 2009
"Kit comes with most common tools needed to strip doors or other painted wooden objects.
Gun produces fairly hot temperature with quick warmup
Great for around the house use and especially in the garage
The adaptors are good for emblem removal, etc.
Also, I used the gun to thaw some frozen copper water pipes.
All in all, I would recommend this kit as it is a great value.

Heat Gun Poor Value,
October 8, 2009
By TKtech

"This is the second review on this product I have written. They have taken my 1st one off? After receiving and returning the first heat gun within first few weeks of using, the folks at Northern Tool were very helpful and easy to understand and made the return and replacement process of this deal a breeze. However, the heat gun doesn't hold up well. My 2nd one lasted about as long as the first. I could probably return it again, but isn't worth it. I paid more and got a better heat gun."

Heat Gun,
July 20, 2009
"This is a wonderful product, I have no complaints at all. I have been using this heat gun to tint cars and I already have done several cars with it and it works flawlessly. I have had it for over a month now. The extra adapters come in handy especially when you are removing the emblems or badges off a car, cleanly and don't want any adhesive residue to be left.
I recommend this product to anyone that needs or uses a heat gun for certain applications, it's cheap and works wonderfully. There's no need to spend the money on other expensive gun kits, this is the gun kit to get."

Versitile Plus Tool,
November 17, 2008
By DesertRat
from Work in Iraq, vacation in Colorado
"I purchased the Heat Gun to remove old paint and boy it did a great job.
I had some new floor mats for my truck and they just did not lay flat.
So I had an idea to use the heat gun at the low setting to mold the floor mats.
"Wow" they now look like they are molded to the floor " custom"
Then I was laying some PVC pipe and needed a little jog so the pipe would lay around an exising pipe. Took the heat gun out, fired it up and the end product is really professional looking.
What a versitle tool and I have just begun to explore it's capabilities.
I would recommend it to everyone.

Great Deal,

"I bought this heat gun to remove some decals from automobiles, as well as for heat shrink tubing. I had priced other units, and never purchased one due to the high prices. With this unit you recieve alot of extra attachments that you wouldn't with the higher priced units.I would recommend this to anyone that needs a heat gun, and doesn't need the "heavy duty" higher priced models. Two thumbs up!"

Poor performance,
May 8, 2008
By jl61

"I was using this heat gun to dry moisture off of a concrete wall.
After about 15 minutes, it just stopped working.
The kit does come with some nice accessories but since the gun doesn't work....
