"I purchased this ball mount because I had purchased a 1996 Rinker Boat which weighed 6,600lbs and the trailed weighed 1,450lbs. I was worried about using a ball mount rated at 6,000lbs and went with this product supplied by Northern rated at 10,000lbs. I towed the boat 82 miles with no problem and no worries. My only issue was that the fit was abit sloppy, my receiver was new and had never been used before, so it wasn't an issue of wear. The ball mount was just machined a little too much, and it wiggled up and down and side to side slightly."
