Just as good as more expensive products,

"I was thrilled to find this product; very simple to use and inexpensive. When I used it this summer and compared to other pond cleaners (like Pond-Zyme Plus) it worked just as well. I have a very small pond that gets sun almost all day (so algae is definitely a problem) and in past years I had had really bad experiences with string algae. I put the first pad in my skimmer (under the leaf net) but the water turbulence destroyed the pad in 2-3 days. The second pad I placed in a calm portion of the pond where it sank after a few days. It didn't get rid of all the algae or sludge but I haven't found anything that does. If things looked like they were getting out of hand I tossed in some Pond-Zyme Plus and that did the trick. With these pads though, you can't beat the price or ease of use."
