"Works good. We use it in the shop and around the yard. My son even hooked it behind the four wheeler and pulled it down the gravel road in the fields, and we were amaised at the amount of nails it picked up. It,s a keeper."

Exceeds Expectations,
July 20, 2009

"Price, performance, and pride in job were what sent this sweeper over the top for me. It outperformed several other magnetic sweepers that were twice the price it all tests to remove ferrous materials including high grass, gravel and of course concrete. It is light, easy to handle, easy to assemble and a bargain, even at twice the price."

Nail Grabber Par Excellence,
November 18, 2008
By CoastalNC
from Coastal North Carolina
"Just finished getting a 24 x 32 workshop built. All the crews did fantastic jobs. But one of the by products of the work was lots and lots of nails on the ground.......all around the building. I went to Northern Tool and got the magnetic sweeper. I rolled that the sweeper repeatedly around the building and picked up at least 12 pounds of nails. It worked extremely well. Only problem i encountered was mine.........operator error. i tried to release the nails in a 5 gallon bucket and they went everywhere. So i ended up dumping them on the workshop slab floor, sweeping them into a dust pan and emptying the dust pan into the 5 gallon bucket.
Great product Northern Tool. I would recommend it for anyone having to deal with the nail problem..........post construction."

Magnetic Sweeper,
November 17, 2008
"Sweeper works well but is heavy and difficult to maneuver in tight places. The wheels are large which allow it to roll well even in gravel, but their size lifts the magnetic bar higher than necessary to pick up heavy flat objects like large washers."

"We use this Sweeper at our manufacturing facility to keep nails and other metal scraps off of the driveway and out of our tires. It works great and saves us tire repair bills. Thanks for a great product."

Rolling Magnetic Sweeper,
April 28, 2008
"Great product!!!
We just built a barn and it was absolutely necessary that all of the nails, screws and metal shavings be removed before the animals were allowed into the area. We tried a small hand held magnet but then purchased the larger rolling magnetic sweeper. We were amazed at the debris the sweeper collected and in a fraction of the time! We can't recommend this product enough.

Grip 30in Rolling Magnet,
April 15, 2008
"Just had my roof re-shingled, worked great for picking up nails and staples left over after the job. Had to adjust the height up in order for the magnet to clear my un-even lawn but that was not a problem. Seems to have plenty of pickup power. The handle you see in the picture on the units body is the magnet release. Aluminum body, plastic wheels."

Rolling Magnetic Sweeper,
October 29, 2007
"I saw one review on this that indicated it would not pick up in gravel...not sure what the deal was. We have a ranch and do a lot of building, welding, etc. Flats used to be a real problem until we bought this sweeper. Our drives have a lot of pea gravel, sand, and packed hardpan areas...nails, screws and other debris literally are torn from the ground to the magnet...the only exception is something packed into the hardpan, in which case it is not a hazard anyway. Great value for the money, will easily pay for itself in saved flat repair and down time."
