"Great workbench kit.
I needed a customizable workbench that took advantage of the limited space in my garage, this kit made things so much easier.I constructed out of 2x4's, a 4x4 and 2 sheets of 4x8x3/4" plywood. During construction, which is only as complicated as you wanna make it, I chose to add 3 high-efficiency LED light bars for the lower shelves and stiffened up the bench for heavy items (cylinder heads, etc.). I used the LED lights because they use less than 1Watt for a 12" strip of LEDs, so I can leave them on all the time if I want. The 4x4x8' was used for the front cross-member, as I didn't want the bench to sag if I leave a heavy item in the middle for a week or two. There is also a vise mounted at one end and adding braces and legs under the center/top of the bench makes it nearly indestructable!
I added a couple of upright center posts to prevent sag and allow me to comfortably walk on the bench if needed. A couple of outlet strips were mounted under the front overhang to give 12 electrical outlets where you need them most.
Overall, excellent bench kit, lets you customize it to what you want, rather than what someone else thinks you need.
