"I have had several backpack sprayers over the years, the SP2 is by far the best. Good directions, easy to assemble and works great. It is well built and I expect it to last many years."

"My first backpack sprayer, after probably two dozen of the hand held variety. It works well and gives a consistent spray pattern. It is easy to use and makes quick work of the task."

Sturdy & strong,
July 20, 2009
"Note first that I have not had any of the strap/clip problems mentioned by some other reviewers. I think the unit is comfortable to wear and easy to get off; getting it on full takes a good swing of your arm, a high bench, or an assistant, but is manageable.
The unit is well built, well designed, and works like a dream come true. I had no idea that it would pressurize so quickly and easily, due to the inner "super-soaker"-like pressure chamber. It is possible to open the tank and add fluids during spraying without losing the pressure in the inner tank, and the total pressure is enough to stream up two to three stories. Awesome!

Well balanced and light,
July 13, 2009
"I use this item to clean my homes' asphalt shingles with a dilute bleach and water solution. I have to stand on the roof to reach all the dirty spots from the chimney smoke. I appreciate the light weight of the sprayer and the ability to have my arms free for balance. Its large 4 gal capacity allows me to get the job done with one trip up the ladder."

Backpack Sprayer Review,
December 8, 2008
By BCMike
from Boulder Creek, CA
"Sprayer works well. It would be nice to have a pressure release valve on the tank so the pressure can be released when you're finished using it. As it is, you just have to unscrew the lid, which may or may not be easy. Also, three tips were provided with the sprayer, but there's no documentation or marking on the tips what spray pattern or angle they produce. Trial and error seems to be the only approach."

"I have used my sprayer several times and really like it. I like the ease of the pump; the amount of liquid it holds; and the ease of the different types of sprayer nozzles it has."

SP2 sprayer,
October 17, 2008
"I cut grass as a side job, and I must say this sprayer is so much better than any of those one or two gallon pump sprayers I have ever used. It saves you time, both due to the 4 gallon capacity and due to the sprayer output patterns and volume of spray. You get a brass nozzle that adjusts from a cone pattern to a stream. And you get two plastic nozzles that spray a wide fan pattern. This sprayer is heavy duty, it can take a beating if "I" didn't break it yet... and it does not leak. I follow the instructions about rinsing it after use, and putting a light oil on the gaskets.
All this being said, it is a rugged sprayer. However, the reason this sprayer did not receive a perfect 5 star rating is because it is NOT perfect. The clamps that secure the shoulder straps are made improperly, and constantly pop off the sprayer when you try to pick it up or take it off. Not a good thing when you are carrying the weight of a 10 lb sprayer plus 33 lbs of water. I have contacted SP Systems about this known issue, and they offered to SELL me another set of the exact same clamps. Obviously, they have no plans yet to offer improved clamps on this model. I will eventually have to go to a hardware store and buy something to rig this up better, because the straps coming off is really a pain and wastes time when I have many yards to spray. And the whole purpose of owning this thing is that it supposed to save time. Time is money in this business. But don't let this deter you from buying this model, I would buy another, just expect to be on your own when it comes to fixing the strap clamps' shortcomings.....

SP Systems Backpack Sprayer,
August 18, 2008
"This sprayer works perfectly. It is comfortable to wear and takes only a few pumps of the pressure handle to create great pressure for spraying. I have used products in this sprayer that would often clog other sprayers, but with the SP2 I've had no problems with clogging."
