HINT on using belt,
April 17, 2008
By Pondini
from Florida
|
"I agree with the general tenor of other reviews -- this product is not great, but it's not terrible, either. A better attachment to the wand would be a LARGE improvement. Initially I had the same trouble with the clip holding the wand -- it just wouldn't hold. But turning the plug around (180 degrees) it fits the socket tighter and, so far, holds my 24-foot wand without pulling loose. Your experience may differ, but if you're having this trouble, give it a try."

Pressure washer back belt,

"I appreciate the other reviews recommending buying the belt to use with the wand. It does get hard to hold on your own when it is extended."

"The concept is great but, the clips used to fasten the belts come apart....often and I can't keep the belt from moving all over the place."

"This belt is not very adjustable when it comes to the shoulder strap. I bought it after reading the reviews on the 18 and 20 foot telescoping wands. Although it it is not well designed, it IS better than nothing."

Wasn't Helful,

"I ordered the belt but after receiving it did not end up using it. It appeared to be more work than help and I felt it would only be useful in an application where you did not have to take the wand down frequently."

Telescoping Wand Back Belt,
July 9, 2007
By dds58

"I do not recommend this belt if you are using the gutter cleaning attachment. The wand using the angled gutter cleaning nozzle has enough force to separate the wand from the belt. The same thing happens from time to time also when using the straight nozzle. I will probably drill a hole through the buckle and pin the buckle in mine so it can't come apart again. I just have not done it yet but that would be a good fix."

Wouldn't buy this product again,
April 26, 2007
By PeterK

"Well, first time use was very disappointing. First, the belt seperated from the clamp which connects to the extension wand. The small eyelet just let go! I had to repair it myself by placing 2 washers on either side of the belt and feed the bolt through both washer. Next, the shoulder strap plastic clip wouldn't stay in place so I had to turn it upside down to get it to stay. Very poor quality and wouldn't buy this product again. If the ratings had a zero, I would have used that."

Could be improved.,

"Two things would make this belt perfect.
1>why use the cheap buckle to connect to the extension wand? It will not stay buckled under load. Simple replace this with a carabiner and eyelets. Not only does it become a one-handed operation, it will stay connected.
2>why one over the shoulder purse strap? Change it to a suspender setup like a good toolbet, to distribute the load. Again, the buckles are CHEAP. They will not grip the nylon and you will be forced to tie knots to keep them from slipping.
If you buy a big boom, you will REQUIRE a belt like this, though. You can get by propping on your knee or against your body, but this does save you a lot of aches. Just expect to make some modifications if you buy this."

Pressure Washer Telescoping Wand Back,

"Belt helps to take some pressure off your back when the telescoping wand is extended and you are trying to balance the wand. It's worth the extra cost."
