McColloch 18" saw,
August 11, 2008
By Dougwelderfabricatorfrom Hatfield, PA
"Good saw to have around the house. It has half decent power, excellent bar oiler, and lasts a reasonable amount of time on fuel. Personally, I like the colors. The only thing I don't like about it is that you can't flip the bar around when you change chains to make it wear even. The chain likes to fly off. I also like the tooless chain adjustment."

Very disappointed with quality,
June 9, 2008

"Not a bad saw when it works, but a number of flaws will probably land this in the dumpster fairly quickly. This is my 4th consumer-grade chainsaw and unfortuately, the least relaible one I've owned. The first day I used this saw the pull string failed to retract after just a few pulls. I found that the plastic spool was cracked causing it to bind against the shell of the saw from time to time. Next, the priming system developed a vacuum leak after only a few uses of the saw, making it often very hard to get started. Also be careful with the toolless chain tensioning, check often that the chain and bar are held fast. I have found the tensioner to occasionally loosen up too easily during use."

Excellent working chainsaw,
April 15, 2008
By jbscoopfrom Taunton, MA
"When i purchased this chainsaw it said nothing about a carry case being included. I was very surprised to have received it with a carry case at no additional cost. I have alot of trees on my property and this chainsaw is excellent working to help me clear out my land and cut everything up for burning. I would highly recommend this saw to everyone who is looking. Northern Tools is an awesome company to do business with."
