"fast heat to single rooms without the cost of heating the whole place - remote adds convenience of hi/lo setting adjustment without getting up from what you're doing or starting/stopping the oscillation mode. reflected radiant heat doesn't slow down to warm the air - goes straight to whomever is in front of it - fast"
