"I initially bought this ear protection for the price. I needed a few spares to keep around for when the guys loose their own. Well these are comfortable, they stay put on your head and the noise reduction is amazing. Normally we will use earplugs and put these over the top. With this style we don't have to use ear plugs anymore. We operate a Vactor for our City's Sewer Department and the noise levels can be very high with two diesel engines turning 3,000 rpm's 5 feet from your head. Another thing I noticed is, when we are not wearing them we like to hang them from our necks under our chin. My old ones were so tight I could not do this without some discomfort to my neck. These allow me to wear them like this and they don't slide around on my head."

"I had bought 1 pair of AO Safety ELC-22 Shooter's Ear . But once I found that I could use them for a variety of tasks I bought 3 more pair. Of course they are excellent for target practice. When we get desperate we try anything!! I started using the muffs for feeding some very noisy animals and when I nead to cut wood for projects. Then I found that if I take naps, on my back, they are excellent for taking the edge off sound so that I can still hear but it's muted enough to let me sleep. My husband likes me to watch TV with him, but I like reading, now I can be in the same room reading while he watches TV. He looks at me and snickers but at least we are in the same room."

"Used the ear muffs with chain, table, and jig saws. Worked well and were comfortable. I recommend to use ear muffs intead of foam type ear plugs to prevent ear wax from clogging ears and to keep sweat from entering ear canal and causing infections (this is why I purchased this product)."
