Works Great!,
March 7, 2007
"I spent a lot of time researching the perfect heater to use while throwing pottery in my garage, After returning my first choice (it set off my smoke alarm in 15 sec.) and a few others I did not like I did more research! At first I was apprehensive because I had to order The Big Buddy, No one had them in the stores. But WOW! It works great and Has a much longer propane life than the others! On low I get about 95 hours on a 20 lb tank. I run it mostly on low when by myself, med to high with others or on those really cold night! Not only do I use it in the garage, but i have taken it to pottery shows, camping (it kept the tent toasty the weekend all of california froze this year), outside concerts, and many other events. It does not smell, and not once has it set off my carbon monoxide or smoke alarm.
I recommend this for anyone needing a small portable heater!"

Mr. Heater Big Buddy,
November 28, 2006
"I purchased the Big Buddy to provide extra heat in my four season porch. I've tried various electric space heaters, but none provided the heat I was hoping for. The Big Buddy has done an excellent job! The room has never been so warm during winter. For the first time, my family enjoys the four season porch the entire year. The cost to operate the unit is very cheap when one uses an external 20 pound tank. I would not recommend using the 1 pound tanks. They are convenient, but don't last long at the high or medium settings. The unit is very easy and safe to use. All my children use the unit for occasional extra heat, and there has never been a problem."

Great for the Garage or Workshop,
November 3, 2009
"I originally got the Mr. Heater Big Buddy so I could work in my unheated attached garage. It worked great! I would turn it on while setting up for work and in a few minutes, I was a lot more comfortable. Since it's light weight and portable, I could move it to where I was working without having to worry about heating the entire space.
I now have a heated workshop, but I still use the Big Buddy as auxilary heat. I can keep the thermostat set pretty low and place the heater near where I'm working. I'm saving a bundle on my heating bill this way."

Great little garage heater,
November 2, 2009
"I use the Big Buddy all winter long here in Michigan. I use it in my garage for my weekend stoogie break. I start heating 15 minutes before and it's plenty comfortable for the hour or so I spend out there. You definately want to use a 20lb. tank for which you will need the additional 5' hose connection accessory. I also can't remember if the power transformer for the blower was included or not, but that is also a must. I use it more for a directional heater than a whole garage heater and it's perfect for this with it's 3 blower speeds."
