"I bough the Mr. heater Buddy to heat in my tent when I don't take my RV or when all my family goes to the lake. It keeps the tent cozy on those cool mornings & evenings. Easy to use & portable. I have the Mr. Heater Big Buddy also. They both work well for my desired uses."

Mr. Heater Buddy Portable Heater, April 21, 2008
By CFritz from Parker, CO

"This is a well built little unit. Operation of the heater is intuitive. Very easy to use. Throws off plenty of heat. Only drawback is that it will not operate at high altitudes (7500 ft above sea level) where I do most of my camping. So, I use it to knock the chill off my radio shack in the basement. It does a real good job of that. Maybe some day Mr. Heater will provide a mod kit or adjustment instructions to allow its use above 7500 feet."

heater, April 21, 2008
By nile from Utah

"Used in a electric car. It heated the cabin very easily and saved a huge amount of money by not having to put in an electric heater. This saved on mileage for the electric car. I would highly recommend this for any similar situation."

Campers only!, April 14, 2008
By GatPC from Massachusetts

"Picked this portable heater up for a small basement job. (Larger heater would have blasted us out.) We ran through the 2.5 lb. propane cylinder in about an hour (unit on high) with not much change in room temperature. Not recommended for job sites but might do well in a camper or trailer."

Mr Buddy Rocks!, April 14, 2008
By Mafi from CA

"We went snow camping in Yosemite in March, BRRR it was cold. This heater was great- we have a large tent w/2 kids and it kept us all warm. The only negative was changing the tank in the middle of the night. Otherwise it was so worth it! highly recommend, may buy the larger one now as well;-)"

Buddy portable heater, April 14, 2008
By MrFixer from long Island NY

"Works well, well made and handy. Unique as I have never seen similar items in any store or site. You can use it with small propane bottles or with haose 20 pound or larger bottles. Runs a long time even on small bottles.
You dont have to heat whole house just where you are at to save money."

Outstanding deal, April 14, 2008
By Livebait from San Francisco/Bay Area, CA

"I use this heater in the cabin of my boat and it works great. Although it has an oxygen sensor, I do not rely on it and still make sure that I have adequate ventilation. It is very portable and takes up a minimal amount of space. While it is not made to heat a large space, it is perfect for smaller areas."

Mr. Heater Portable Buddy, April 14, 2008
By Woodworker911 from Buffalo, NY

"I purchased this heater to supplement heat both in my home and my workshop. It's a great little heater and works very well. You can feel the warmth almost instantly and it kept my regular furnace from going on and off so often. It's easy to use too. I'd recomment this unit to anyone who wants to add a little extra heat to they're surroundings."

Great Indoor Heater, January 25, 2008
By blitz from Maine

"I got this as a back-up heat source in case the power goes out in the winter (it obviously isn't going to heat an entire house, but it will keep 1 room warm enough). I've had this for over a year and the power has yet to go out, but I still use it on a regular basis - in my home office, in the garage ... I've even used it to melt the ice off of an iced-on tire rim when I needed to change a flat during a snow storm. It's very versatile and very warm ... I love it.

One drawback is that the smaller propane canisters are getting a bit pricey. However you can get a tool that allows you to refill them from larger 20 pound (gas grill size) tanks and thereby save a lot of money in the long run."

Great idea, disappointing performance, January 25, 2008
By Tactsman from Charlotte, NC

"I bought this to use on a 8x8 enclosed porch at my home for guests who needed a "smoking" room. The results were disappointing. The unit takes a long time to warm up and the output does not even take the chill off of the room. There is quite a bit of open glass and the porch has an uncovered concrete floor over an unheated, uninsulated crawlspace, so the radiated cold may be too much for this little heater to handle.
Loved the form factor and compact size and the fuel usage rate seemed reasonable. While I can't recommend it for my type of need, it may do better in a smaller or better insulated area."

an excellent product, January 21, 2008
By richie01 from Freeburg, MO

"I live on a farm way out in the country. During the winter i always carry the Mr Heater in my truck in case of emergencies. I also use it in my deerstand, and in my deer processing room in my shop. The product is every bit as good as the manufacturer says it is."

Portable Buddy Heater, January 14, 2008
By GrayToast from Cathlamet, WA

"Found this to be a quality product functioning as advertised.
Use it in an RV trailer while we are awake. No ill effects. The trailer has inherent ventilation plus we sometimes increase ventilation. The pilot light controls the gas valve. It has seemingly shut off several times possibly due to the advertised low-oxygen detection feature. Have little odor and no marker gas odor."
