"I used the Big Buddy heater in my uninsulated garage when my car needed repair. The power cord for the fan was awesome and combined with the double burners, it really put out the heat!!! It worked so great I decided to barbeque outside with the Big Buddy to keep me warm and it was in February!!! Great product that makes the Big Buddy just that much better. If you have a Big Buddy Heater, don't mess with batteries, buy the power cord! I would recommend it to anyone!"

"I love my Big Buddy Heater! I used 4 "D" batteries in it until the AC Adapter arrived. The batteries do not work as well in cold weather and cost money to replace or recharge. If you have AC near your heater, the adapter gives you better blower speed with less trouble and expense."

"I placed an order for this when I purchased a Mr. Buddy Heater. It was on back order. I was worried that it would take a long time to get it. I gave the heater as a Christmas gift, and told him the adapter would be coming some time. It arrived a few days after Christmas (1/3/08) He is very excited to have it so that he doesn't need to use batteries all the time. I received a cooler last year and didn't get an adapter with the cooler, and have not been able to find one to fit it. It was exciting to be able to order the appropriate adapter with the heater."

"The only problem with this adapter is that it didn't come with the Big Buddy to begin with. While it isn't necessary for operation of the Big Buddy, it is nice to be able to run the fan on it without eating up batteries."

"This product is a typical block-type AC adapter. Suitable for a device that resides strictly in one location.
However, since the heater is portable and presumably will be moved and stored, this adapter should be have been designed more ruggedly. I would like to have seen a heavier wire and possibly a method of winding and storing the cord (like a better $30.00 laptop adapter often has).
This one will work fine in a stationary location, but will probably not hold up under repeated winding and unwinding and/or occasional dropping.
In my review of the heater itself, I suggested an improved storage compartment underneath for storing and transporting accessories such as this."

"If you have a 'Buddy' heater, and you're going to use it for other than camping, this AC adapter is a "must have". Batteries are fine when there's no power, but if you've got a plug nearby, this is the way to go. I got it at the same time as the heater AND the 12ft propane hose."

"When I first got the Big Buddy I had to wait for the AC adapter to arrive separately, so I used 4 D batteries. They ran the blower just fine, when I shut it off after 8 hours on medium, they were still going. So in a power outage, batteries would be fine. But, if you want to run the blower, and don't want to mess with replacing batteries, or go through the expense of buying them, the adapter is the way to go. Just plug it in to a standard outlet, and the blower runs great. I checked the house power meter before and after plugging it in, and didn't notice any difference, so the claim of it costing next to nothing to use is accurate."
