Starter died within 6 months,
November 11, 2008

"I guess is an ok generator. Got really frustrated when the starter died within the first 6 months of usage at only 160 hrs of usage. Noisy. Called Generac and told me to bring it to Camping World to fix it. CW had a 2 months waiting list. Got a Honda 3000is and much happier now."

QP 40 LP,
August 18, 2008
"Installation for an RV that does not have a Generator Prep from the dealer is a bit tough. The box required to contain the unit will run you about $200 in materials. The unit is easy to wire and easy to get propane to.
Starting the unit takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get the hang of it there are no issues. The cooling fan is louder than the generator. The unit runs quietly and provides plenty of power for a one A/C, 30 amp RV."

A great replacement RV generator,
April 22, 2008

"I took out an old Onan from a vintage motorhome. It still worked, but it was also vintage, gasoline, somewhat noisy, and finicky in it's old age. I replaced it with this LP model RV generator. It took a little working to get this cabinet in place, according to specs, insulated and firewalled. But, once done, this is a great little power plant. It's quieter and cleaner, and I feel safer with the LP (that may just be me). It also has a very nice remote start and monitor panel. Excellent fit and finish."
