Not satisfactory,
April 14, 2008
By Alda
from California
"The one roller blade tenderizer is really not satisfactory for doing any type or quanity of meat. Once you reduce the size or thickness of the meat by passing it through the tenderizer, it no longer tenderizes because the space between the blades and meat is too great. There is also a problem keeping the handle on the shaft with the set screw provided. It keeps working loose. There should be a notch set in the shaft for the set screw to inbed itself in."

Meat Tenderizer,
January 17, 2008
By mnmohan

"My husband has been eying this product for a long time and it made the best Christmas gift. We are so impressed, it is sturdy and does a great job on our meat even with cuts up to an inch thick. There is a way to attach it to a work surface for more stability, which is just what we did. We can get our meat tenderized in half the time it took before. Great product."

"I have been wanting to purchase a tenderizer for quite some time. I saw this item on one of your sale e-mails. The price was good and everything I have gotten from Northern has been very good. The product is put togther well and works great. I think it will work well for me for several years."

Deluxe Meat Tenderizer,
October 8, 2007
By doris915

"This implement does a quite competent job of tenderizing meat. We use it on beef, chicken and pork. The meat does need to be thick for optimum results.
The only problem is the cleaning when the tenderizing is complete. It is extremely difficult to clean.

Just what we needed!,
March 7, 2007

"We needed something to tenderize the meat we cut when processing venison. I ordered this one from Northern. It worked just as we thought it would. It does a good job tenderizing the meat with 24 individal knives that pierce the meat. It works better when you don't try to go too fast. Also, you need to hold the tension on the front end of the meat after it begins to come out to keep it moving along so it doesn't get jammed up on the back end. Once we learned that we were able to go much faster.
You do need to buy a special brush to clean it after using it since there are many individual knives inside, so it takes a while to clean. But still worth the price we paid for it.
