Stuffing potato sausage,
July 21, 2009
By welovesausage
from los angeles, CA
"I purchased this stuffer when I purchased the large hand grinder to make my Grandmothers potato sausage. I am the 3rd generation teaching the 4th generation a family recipe and this stuffer makes it alot easier. Until I purchased this stuffer I had always stuffed the beef casing by hand and it was very labor intensive. This makes it so much easier not to mention faster. Thanks again."

8 lb Sausage stuffer,
March 26, 2009
By Gordon11

"This product does have a problem with the sausage coming out from around the plunger. I fixed the problem by putting a clean heavy sock on the end of the plunger and it works! You do have to toss the sock once you are done with it, so make it one with a hole in it. It gives you double duty on those old socks."

8lb Sausage Stuffer,
August 13, 2008
By keebler

"I found this product impossible to work with and produce an acceptable product. The plunger does not fit snug enough to properly push the product through the stuffer and by the time finished the product was nothing more than mush. The only remedy possible to this problem would be to modify the plunger with some sort of attachment to fit snug in order for the meat to properly move through the stuffer as intended."

stainless sausage stuffer,
August 11, 2008
By cooks
"It seems to squeze out more sausage from the sides of the plate, that pushes into the tube, makes it hard to keep cleaning it as you draw back the handel. Waste more sausage as it drops on the surface all the time"

"It does not work. Meat won't press through the throat, rather it flows between the pressure plate and the stuffer's side. I threw mine away."

SAUSAGE STUFFER,
July 10, 2007
By TheSausageMan
from Liberty Mo
"The 8 lb sausage stuffer I purchased seemed to be agood quality appliance until I used it. On my first attempt to stuff the sausage casings, the handle snapped and left me stranded with 20 lbs of unstuffed sausage meat. I contacted Northern Tools with my problem and the situation was resolved within 48 hours. The product rating is 1 star for the appliance but I give Northern Tools a 5 star rating for their service."

Meat Grinder Plus Sausage Stuffer $89.99,
December 2, 2006
By gooseking

"This is really a fantastic deal. You can pay a lot more for a fancier model with stainless steel/metal housing, but why? If you need a low priced grinder that's functional, well made, and dependable, then go with this one. I've had mine for a year and have grinded and stuffed hundreds of pounds of sausage. I've encountered Zero problems grinding. It's very fast, efficient, and has never over heated on me. The stuffer part is some work, however. It works, but you have to put a lot of manual pressure on the stuffer to keep it going! This is a real bargain, overall. I'm getting one for my dad at this great deal!"
