"This spreader worked pretty good for my application, which is broadcasting gopher poison. The electric switch was real handy, but after a while it quit working and I had to repace it. Also the spread pattern is heavier right in the middle, so keep that in mind if spreading seed or fertilizer . Some type of deflector that would allow you to adjust the spread pattern is needed to even it out.
If you don't make sure the tabs holding the lid on are in place you might lose your lid, I know I did. I would recommend securing it with a bungee cord. Also keep the spreader mechanism lubed so it travels up and down with ease.
Overall I think it was worth the money but there is room for improvement."
