Works Great!,

"I had been looking at an auto-darkening helmet for a couple of months and had planned on buying another one for about $250.00 when I saw this one. I bought one online and received it yesterday.
I welded about 4 hours with it and can say that this is a great helmet-response time is extremely fast and being able to see where you are starting the bead is great!
The sensitivity setting is a great feature and the head suspension/attachment system is very comfortable and stable.
I would have to say that this is the best welding helmet I have seen to date, especially when you consider the low price.

Don't go welding without this!,

"This helmet is fantastic. The color of the auto-darkening lens may be something you are not used to if you have never used one, but it only takes milliseconds to adapt! Works great! Love it that I don;t have to flip down the hood (or lens) in order to weld. Just strike a spark and get on with business. Won't go on the job without one now. Great with MIG, TIG and stick."

High Priced Features In a Economical Package!,
November 4, 2009
"I purchased this helmet at the beginning of fall semester for a welding class i was beginning and let me tell you, not very many tools impress me ,but this one has . The old adage "you get what you pay for" certainly does not apply to this helmet. You get way MORE than you pay for. It has really been great! It has shade adjustment, reaction and sensitivity adjustments as well. A friend of mine has one that is similar, but a higher priced brand and he paid twice as much and its a fixed auto darkening shade. That can be a pain when you need to lighten or darken the shade if you are using heavier rods on the arc welder or if you want to do some TIG or MIG welding. This helmet is truly a bargain while providing comfort features that you usually only see on Holox,Miller , Lincoln and other high end helmets and for a fraction of the price. It also has a padded band for your forehead that uses velcro to make cleaning a breeze. Dis assembly for cleaning or replacing the protective lens is also easy. It also comes with an extra replacement exterior lens as well. This product is worth twice the asking price right out of the box. No assembly was required and it was ready to use as soon as i unpacked it."

"I seen several comments on welding tutorials I was looking at on the Internet, about this helmet. So I decided to go ahead and try it.
Boy what a surprise, this helmet is every thing it was described to be. I liked it so much We bought one for our son for his birthday, you wont be disappointed here, not for the money.

No reason not to love it,

"This has to be one of those top purchases which make you feel good everytime you use it. Simply put the helmet on and in the down position and your ready to weld. No more missing your starts. Competitors cheap-o helmets don't even come close in price/quality that this delivers. If your buying your first welder or are in need of a replacement mask this is your baby."

"I love not only how "light" the helmet is, but also the fact that I can look down while welding without it "bottoming-out" on my chest. The shorter chin area is probably my favorite feature. I like it so much, I disassembled it, removed the sticker decals, custom painted it, and reassembled."

Auto-Darkening Helmet,
November 2, 2009
By scotch960
from Richardson, TX
"I had wanted an auto-darkening helmet for some time but didn't want to come off the money. When my kiddo showed interest in spending time with me in the garage, it was time for another helmet. Wasn't planning on spending the extra $ for an auto-darkening helmet but the price was too good to pass up. The only regret is I didn't buy one sooner - I'll never go back to a cheapo again. Not using the auto-darkening helmet is like going back to the stone-age. I can position or hold what I'm welding, get the torch tip where I need it, etc. - no guessing. Was a little concerned about flash burn but after a year of use, haven't had a single problem or regret.
I have since bought a second one for my kiddo.
