Hobart Handler 125,
July 10, 2007
By UtownBill

"I should have bought this welder years ago. I don't know how I ever got along without it. Versatile, convenient, easy to use and affordable are just a few of the words that describe this little workhorse. Use it indoors, outdoors, at home or on the road. Plug it into any standard wall outlet. So far, this welder has easily handled every job I've required of it, from delicate sheet metal to 3/8 inch steel. I would recommend this welder to anyone, beginner or professional. No home workshop would be complete without one."

Great welder,

"I have owned this welder for a year now, and i am very happy with it. I have welded up a couple of trailers, steel fences, used for work, and for all kinds of things around the house. This little Hobart runs smoother than many more expensive machines that i have used. I have used this to weld up to 1/4" steel, and i would have to say that it gets best penetration on 1/8" or thinner steel. It also works very well on galvanized. I would have to say that this is also a very robust welder. I drag it around, throw it in the back of the truck, and it has even been rained on, and still works great. One year with me is probably the equivalent of five years with the normal home user."

Hobart Handler 125,

"This is by far the easiest welder I have used. It runs well on a 15 amp circuit and produces clean welds with very little splatter. Setting it up for welding on different material thicknesses could not be easier. Great welder."

Welder Hobart,

"I find that this welder is good for small projects. It is compact and lightweight. I use it on small jobs with virtually no compaints. However, I do have one problem. Periodically the wire will hang up in the gun and I have to stop to fix it. It gets annoying sometimes, but I look past it."

great welder for price,

"I have this welder and it has been very reliable. Be sure you read the instruction, it will not weld for a long period of time because it must recycle. When it stops welding it is not broken wait and it will restart. If you plan to use alot on different metals, I suggest you buy the 140 or get the conversion kit."

Best welder for the Bucks!,
October 19, 2009
By FluxBoy
"This Hobart Handler 125 is the second welder I have owned. This welder is very versitile (mobile) since it runs of 115 volt household current (20 amp breaker prefered). It handles mild steel up to 3/6" with one pass. This welder uses flux cored wire and does not require regulators or shielding gas. It is much easier to learn than oxyacetylene, stick or TIG welding. I prefer this welder to my previous "Blue" 230 volt MIG welder and the Hobart was less than 1/2 the cost of the "Blue" welder. Huge cost savings! If your goal is to weld mild steel up to 3/16" without the hassle of sheilding gas or a steep learning curve (without breaking the bank), the Hobart 125 Handler is for you. It is the best welder for the buck!"

I use it to make wrought iron fencing and I use it for fixing stuff for my customers. I really encourage anybody looking for a welder to buy this one.... you will not be disappointed and you will definately get your money back and make hundreds of thousands."

First Welder,
July 21, 2009
By ghouse
from Benton, KS
"This product is my first welding machine, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I've been happy with it's power and ease of use. I was restricted to a 110v machine because of my house wiring, so I understood it might not have the power of a 220v.
One thing I found is that it needs to be turned up to the maximum setting to do even minor things. Not really a big deal, but I expected the controls to have a little more granularity to them.
Other then that, it functions flawlessly and it's welded up metal stairs, braces, and some decorative things for me over the last couple of years. No problems with it at all."
