Hobart 250CI Plasma Cutter,
August 11, 2008
By Sparky66
from Asheville, NC
"AWESOME!! I use it for restoring vehicles, cutting sheet metal, old rusty nuts and bolts etc. This tool has saved me hours and hours and hours. Instead of wrestling with old rusty stuff, this guy cuts it off in seconds. Well worth the money. For automotive and home maintenance this is a must have tool. You can't go wrong with a Hobart anything! The unit worked right out of the box and has worked flawlessly ever since. Use it once and you will have to have it."

Second Hobart purchase,
October 19, 2009
By Ignatious
from Brookings, Oregon
"After buying a Hobart Handler wire feed welder in 1992 and getting many good years of service from it, I am convinced that Hobart is a good name to buy. I had a diode failure a few years ago but the Hobart tech folks diagnosed the problem and I bought and installed a new diode which cured the problem. Overall, it has been a good purchase.
When the Hobart Plasma cutter was advertised on sale for a few bucks off, I bought it. I immediately found that it's cutting capacity was off by at least a hundred percent. It claimed a quarter inch capacity when it was closer to an eighth inch. The speed at which it cuts is not as claimed either. It's duty time is also over-rated. In this day and age with all the claims made to sell a product, I am a little disappointed in Hobarts claims. In hindsight, I should have bought the next step up cutter. In spite of these complaints, I still would recommend it but for much lighter duty."

Excellent plasma cutter,
July 20, 2009
By Markuda
from Chisholm, Mn.
"This plasma cutter is great for general uses around the home or farm. I was cutting steel within 5 minutes of getting it out of the box. Very easy to use, and although I have used plasma cutters before, anyone with no previous experience will be operating this unit in no time at all. The built in air compressor is also a nice feature. I highly recommend this plasma cutter."

nice unit for novice shade-tree mechanic,
November 17, 2008
"I have used this unit several times monthly, for about one year now. No complaints, it does what it is advertised to accomplish. I have cut up to 1/2" carbon steel pipe but very, very slow cutting. Of course it is only rated to sever 1/4" steel plate, which it does very well. Anything 1/8" or smaller, it slices through smoothly and quickly. Yes, so far, I really like this small unit. Nice to have a self-contained air compressor included in it. Just plug it in and cut cutting."

Good Little Cutter,
August 18, 2008
"I've had my AirForce 250 for about a year now, and I must say, I love it. It does the jobs I need it to do and in a short amount of time. The onboard compressor is so handy and it's lighweight makes things so much easier. Add a cart to it and you've got one great setup. Don't buy this cutter if you plan on cutting real heavy material. Pay attention to the specifications on the product page. I use mine for auto body work, as well as small scale home projects. Another great product by Hobart."
