"This small compact welder/generator has a big heart! So far it has helped with medium welding projects, and will be helping with some bigger repairs soon. It starts every time it is needed, and puts out some very decent watts. I would very much recommend this to anyone that has a need for medium/heavy welding projects, and wants a back up power source to run things like a well pump, frig., freezer etc."

"This is a great Welder/Generator. I have used the arc welder extensively. It works great for small jobs around the farm and I have used it on extra jobs where a large welder was too hard to be able to use. I also used it when I lost power during Hurricane Rita and was able to keep power to my Refrigerator and Freezer, saving me a lot of money in lost food. I would and have recommend to anyone."

"the hobart 4500 welder/generator is a must have item. this in my opion is one of the best portable welder/generators on the market. it is a very light,very well built, always starts with one or two pulls of the rope.we use this model to install steel machinery and run our job sites all throught the south east area. very fuel efficient, with all the power of a much larger unit. great welds with this unit! by far one of the best generator/welders that i have ever owned.2yrs hard use with no problems."

"This machine is great! I have used it for everything from fence panels, handrails, staircases, and even some light structural steel. It ran GREAT everytime. I never had a hard time starting it. Gave enough power to run my grinders and saws too! I had the running gear on mine and let me tell you it was amazing. I was able to move it anywhere I needed to on the jobsite and that helped me out alot. Great machine and I would definetly recomend it"

Great Welder/Generator,

"I got my Hobart Champ 4500 Welder/Generator about two years ago. I never thought I would use any piece of equipment as much as I have this one. I use it for all kind of work around the ranch. The welder is great for building fences and repairing equipment. I almost never use my stationary welder now that I have the Hobart Champ. I use it all the time for my power tools and equipment when stationary power is not available. It is also great for when the power goes off as it does often here in the country. All in all, I don't know how I would ever get anything done with out it."

"I bought the Hobart Welder-Generator a couple of years ago. I use it for welding and as a power source at my remote land I have. I have found it to be very good as a welder and excellent as a power source as it can handle anything I wish to use. I can weld fences as well as flat stock and it will handle a circular saw, drills, and even power my RV.
An excellent product."

"Cannot be better choice for farm use need to weld something in the field and its great. Need to run a grinder or drill before welding and there it is. No problem starting even in winter."

Hobart Generator Welder,

"I purchased 1 of these units for maintenance purposes. We had a situation where we had no power close to where a large cardboard bailer was on the loading dock. We were able to use this to weld the broken unit and get it back in service. I was surprised at how well a small welder/generator like this performed. It welded 3/8" steel rather effortlessly. Plus it provided the necessary power outlet to operate the hand grinder from. While it probably is not suitable for a production environment, it accels in a maintenance environment. All this and lightweight too. Excellent machine."
