A great welder at a great price,
April 24, 2008
"This welder does just about anything you could possibly need around the home and then some. I've used it on just about everything and it works great. Its smaller then the 220v units and much more portable because you can use it almost anywhere. It is also great for really thin metals, something not all the larger units can do as well. I highly recommend the unit. No disappointments here."

Great Little Welder,
November 20, 2009
By ALLSEASONS

"I bought this welder after returning the Northern Tool welder. I have a Hobart 220 welder but wanted something smaller. Hobart didn't disapoint with the first welder and impressed me again with this one. Welds real nice, Miller Torch on it, very well made. I have used Miller and Lincoln Hobart is up there on my list. I use the Heck out of it, very reliable. I must also say Northern Tool was great about taking my old welder back. That is why I bought this one from them and continue to do buisness with them. Don't write off the rest of there products some are great."

Just what I ordered,

"This welder is just what I ordered. Easy set up and welding in less than 10 minutes. Better than expected. I would highly recommend this welder. I am curious how long the plastic parts on the wire feed will last but will cross that road when I get there. I have over 20 years welding experience and this welder is as good as any welder I have used including a Miller or Lincoln. Maybe I should update the review in about 5 years. The welding guide under the welder door has proved to be accurate. Wow, all that and welding with the flux core. I can't wait for my new gas bottle and weld with solid wire. Hope this is helpful."

great welder,

"Hi. This little welder is great for small and large projects around the home or garage. I really like the easy to change spools so of you need to switch from flux cored wire to solid wire its a snap. Runs on 110 volts, so finding an outlet nearby is simple. No special wiring for 240 volts. I would recommend this welder to ANYONE that works on ANYTHING at home or in the garage!!!"

"This is the welder for the home handyman/hobbiest. While not as powerfull as its big brothers, it is surprising what can be done with this mig welder. Handy is an understatement, it affords the chance to weld at home like no other welder this size that I have seen. It performs flawlessly and is a joy to use."

Great for quick light repairs,
November 3, 2009
"This a very handy welder. 110volt makes it easy to find a power source. I had a 135 hobart like this and it was a champ too. I bought another one because it proved to be well worth the money. I weld sheet metal regularly with it and it has never failed me yet."

Excellent machine,
November 2, 2009
"I'm a general contractor and I bought this welder from Northern to use with metal building erecting, steel framing, and general repairs. This machine is a breeze to use and it is very convenient not having to have 220V around when you need to use it. This unit is great for light gauge steel and most small repairs around the home or shop. It is very convenient and easy to carry around. We can easily hand it up to somebody on a scaffold who is needing to weld red iron purlins, etc. (14ga steel). I used it on a tow behind trailer to repair a damaged section on the tongue. I did not get the penetration I needed on the heavier steel, BUT it did get me out of a bind and I was able to make a temporary repair until I was able to get to a larger welding machine. Great unit to have on the jobsite."

Awesome welder!,

"I bought this welder thinking that it would take a day or more to set everything up, but when I received it all I had to do was hook up the gun to the machine, make sure the polarity was right, put a contact tip in, and put on the 1lb wire spool that came with it and I was ready to weld! it works great and makes fairly clean welds even with flux-core. All around great welder."
