"I chose this compressor in large part because I was concerned about the electrical capacity available in my garage. I didn't want to go over a 5HP motor. This compressor has great output specs and the IR reputation behind it.
While I have not taken on any huge projects to date, so far this compressor has never had to work hard for anything I have chosen to do. It has merely run long enough to fill the 80 gallon tank again.
I have only one caution, one that is probably true for any large compressor, and that is the noise level. I don't think it is excessive for this size compressor, but I wear ear plugs as a preventive measure if I am going to use it for any length of time.
