"This is a great idea and product. We had over 1000 4", 20d nails to install a bridge deck. The nailer did a great job till it broke with only 200 nails done. We were able to replace it and the second unit broke in the same manner. (The driver pin retainer broke in both cases) As it failed so fast, I was disapointed with the product, but while it worked, it was a great item. This driver is able to drive even a larger nail, and if used in that case, may have a different life span.
The product we were nailing was stacked 2 X 8's, with full penetration.
For sure, I would recommend others to try this item if nailing lengths greater than 3 1/2", but we did after the second failure purchase a palm nailer that worked well."
