Work Saver,
November 2, 2009
By amateurbodyman

"Sanding is one of my least favorite things. The IR dual action takes all the work out of coarse and finish sanding post body filler. Couldn't live without it. Found that better grades of sanding discs keep the sander from becoming a frisbee launcher."

"I have had this sander for, I would say, at least fifteen years it had a fair amount of use in the first few years on various projects but then it sat in a drawer for probably the last ten years I recently got it out and to my surprise the thing still works great."

"In the words of Tony the Tiger, "it's great!"
As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I could have purchased a cheaper unit from one of those local freight stores, but they dont carry the world leader in air tools. Do yourself a favor and buy an IR, buy the best!"

Handy Sander,
November 18, 2008
By Serac
from Chicago
"I have used this sander on many occasions, mainly involved with auto body work. Excellent tool and performs very very nicely. One downside is that it sucks an awful lot of air when under load, so unless you have an industrial air compressor to power it, you may have air feed issues. Overall, excellent product and craftsmanship / quality is very good."

Ingersoll Rand Dual Action Air Sander — 6in,

"I have used this tool for the body work on numerous vehicles of my own as well as for friends. It has never disapointed me. It has low vibration, even in the Orbital mode, so it is not a tool that tires you out because you are fighting it. The operating trigger is also nicely placed for ease of use. If my tool I have now wears out I will definitely replace it with the same model if it is available."

"I recently purchased an Ingersol Rand Dual Action Air Sander to aid me in my restoration of a "well used" 55 Chevy Pickup. It's one of the tools I really needed to power off the rust that worked on the body for 53 years. I would recommend the air tool to anyone and everyone who takes on a similar task. Its one of the tools required and the "Name" I/R assures quality.
