"I have used this item a few times and it seems to work fine. sure beats using a gun! only thing is that is can be akward to control the direction of the unit with just one hand on the gun, would be nice if it had two handles..."

"Good little surface cleaner for the money. I would not recommend this to a pressure washing company unless it is used infrequently or you are starting out and need an affordable unit. Does excellent work and Northern Tool is excellent about getting parts when service is needed. Thank you Northern Tool."

Surface Cleaner,

"I bought this surface cleaner about a year ago and have used it on several jobs. It has worked well on wood decks and concrete floors. Works best when you half overlap and move it slowly. Today I cleaned my garage a job that used to take 4 hours only took 1 hour and 15 minutes. Worth every penney and saves alot of time. I am using it on a power washer with 2700psi at 2.5 gpm with no problems. Only drawback is wet feet from when using this cleaner. So best used on a warm day and have a pair of dry shoes ready when your done."

Great accessory for the price,

"I have owned a pressure washing business for several years and have had success with larger units and the 16 inch surface cleaner from NT performs just as well allowing me to get in to the smaller areas with the same results as the much higher priced larger cleaners."

"The surface washer is well made and works as described. It will work well on light mildew surfaces and speeds cleaning significantly. On Heavily mildewed concrete drives such I had, it worked well but conventional pressure washing works more throughly. After the heavy build up is removed I will use the surface washer for lighter cleanings. I was pleased with Northern Tools speed of delivery and ordering process, I will order from them again, Great company, and Higher quality products."

Cleaning Machine!,
March 30, 2008

"This surface cleaner works well on exposed aggregate and smooth finish concrete driveways, patios, and sidewalks. It really does save time and your back will thank you! If you go slow and make two passes over the area that you are cleaning it will leave it clean and stripe free. If you try to rush it then it will not clean everything off the concrete. But even going slow with this surface cleaner is still twice as fast as using only a gun sprayer. Cleaning from side to side or pulling it back seemed to be the most effective...the unit almost floats across the concrete. Pushing it forward with only 1 front wheel does not roll all that great. Improvements to the product could be made by having the gun attach about 4 inches lower...I am 6' 2" and I thought the gun trigger was too high. The plastic housing is a little flimsy and should be a little thicker to make it more solid in feel. The chrome loop ring that holds the hose and gun flexes the housing a bit...I worry a bit about the durability. Make sure you buy the gun recommend with it...or look carefully at the specs of the gun recommended. Your pressure washer gun may not have the correct connection (female). Also look at your pressure washer hose...do you have a quick disconnect? I had to change the hose fitting on the new gun since my pressure hose was not a quick disconnect type. I am still glad I purchased this product even though I think it can be improved."

Can't Live Without It!,

"I tried a larger flat surface washer before deciding to get this model, and I am so happy that I got this one! Edging next to low shrubs is great! You don't have to edge with the wand behind what you do with the surface washer like you have to do with larger (20" or bigger) models. The wheels make it super-easy for manuverability even with one hand! It's light and portable and does a monster job. The only words of caution I could offer is just simply watch your speed, and it doesn't care for contours such as slight elevations when working near the entrance of a garage or tightly clustered patio blocks. Even so, it still if more efficient than using the wand by itself. Awesome performance! Awesome price! Couldn't have wished for anything better!"

Good for Decks and Driveways,
October 29, 2007
By GBJSfrom Canton, MA
"I purchased this surface cleaner about a month ago and have used it several times to clean of my deck, front porch, and driveway. It seems to work pretty well, you may have to go over things a few times as the double spray nozzles may miss multiple circular areas leaving a characteristic tracking pattern. If you have any loose or flaking paint on wooden surfaces, you can bee guaranteed that it will be removed."

Works Great,

"Have had a number of surface washers in the past that have not worked too well. This product was delivered as promised and works as promised.
Wide diameter helps get the job done effectively and it cleans up quickly. The attached wheels keep you moving in the right direction and allows you to get right up to the edges due to the well planned wheel locations."

"Worked fantastic for cleaning my pool apron, driveway, and side walks. If you have a home use pressure washer this is a "must have" attachment. I have used a commercial unit, that was 3 times larger this one, and both worked great. This unit is smaller and the task took a little longer than the commercial unit, but the end result was the same. This works 10 times faster than a wand alone!!!!"

"I purchased this surface cleaner after renting one last year. The product was delivered as scheduled and worked as expected. I've used the surface cleaner on my driveway, sidewalk and deck. It's truely unbelievable how much faster your pressure washer works with this affordable attachment. My concrete looks great and my wood deck is now ready for new stain. The wood has a consistant color and no damage! I recommend this product to anyone who uses a power washer on a regular basis or someone who has large areas to clean."
