Surface Washer,
August 18, 2008
By JLC66from Portland, OR
"I bought the 20" surface washer to prepare 12,000 sq. ft. of asphalt paving for a seal coat. The washer arm rotated slowly at first, but a slight adjustment of the spray nozzle angle more that doubled the rpm's. The washer performed very well, cleaning moss and dirt out of the rough asphalt surface much better and faster that possible with a hand wand."

"I've only used this rotary cleaner 3 times, but it has worked well every time. It's very easy to manuver. I'm not sure how it will hold up over the long haul, so I can't comment on that."

"For the price it can't be beat. Works great for concrete prep for our overlays. I really like how the unit keeps water from spraying on vertical surfaces such as walls and patio windows. This product not only saves time in the prep work but also for the clean-up of the customer's property. When it is time to get a new one I will get the higher quality unit for durability."

Not as good as I expected,

"Yes, it's faster tthan the wand, but not 3 or 4 times faster. Maybe twice as fast. Since the arms rotate rather slowly, you can't move it very fast. I got the twelve inch version for walls, and it rocks! It spins much faster, and cleans quickly. I'd rather have the smaller (and way cheaper) 12 inch wall washer and use it on large flat surfaces because you don't have to go back over the same area again and a again like you do with the twenty inch model."

"This is a good surface cleaner, at the time it was all Icould afford. The shell broke after the fifth time but it was my fault and some J.B. Weld fixed it right up. The swivel did go out but I used it for a long period of time at about 75 degrees hotter than recomended. If you run a buisness like I do, this cleaner allowed me to do a few jobs at 45 cents a sq. ft. untill I could afford a better one. I have a feeling if you used this with cold water and took care of it, it would last a while. The old model had open wheels that made it feel cheep. I like how the wheels are enclosed now."
