"I use these shelves in my garage. They hold large and heavy items very well. The quality was the best that I found. The price wasn't much higher than other inferior shelves. I bought 3 units at first. I decided 4 shelves per rack would better fit my needs. I would have given 5 stars if an add-on package was available with only a single stanchion. I could have bought 4 add on kits to get the 3 connected racks with 4 shelves each that I desired without the 4 extra stanchions. My brother "the collector/recycler" took the extras and made some make-shift racks of his own. So all is good."

"These shelves will only hold 1000 lbs. each and the weight has to be evenly distributed. Max capacity 3,000 per unit not 4,500 as advertised. 3,000 max is per manufacturer."

"The Gorilla Rack was ordered from Northern on a special. We ordered three. Upon receiving the 2 of three packages were damaged. One package was damaged beyond recognition. Other then a bent cross arm and a few scratches the racking was like new. Tough stuff. We were very pleased with the strength and ease of assembly. The shelving came as a unit with three shelves. We wish there was an option to order a fourth or even a fifth shelve for some of the racks. Overall great product. We will be ordering more."
