Remington Pole Saw,
April 22, 2008
By Doogyfrom Baraboo, WI
"I purchased this saw over a year and a half ago. It is great for smaller properties where you don't mind dragging out an extension cord to use it. The thing I like most about it is that being electric, it is just one less engine to worry about gas going bad or keeping it in tune, its just ready to go when you are ready to use it. The only thing I don't like about it is that I have some real tall oak trees where I can't get some of the branches. this is perfect for ornamental size and fruit trees."

remington pole saw,
April 21, 2008
By maddmaxxfrom Hawkinsville, ga.
""I purchased this saw in Macon, georgia. I agree with them in that this saw is a great value. I have 18 pecan trees so this is perfect for me, I even used it as a chain saw and it worked very well on the large branches up to 8 inches. Lots of power for electric . My saw arrived in new condition even though it is sold as reconditioned. For the average homeowner you can't go wrong with this saw." I have used this saw extentsively and haven't had to sharpen it, yet. Very pleased with this saw, and recommend it to others. Thanks..."

Remington pruning saw,
April 14, 2008
By cableronfrom Lancaster, PA
"I purchased this saw based on existing reviews. I agree with them in that this saw is a great value. I only have a few trees so this is perfect for me, if you had dozens of trees I would recommend a more expensive saw but for the money this one works great, however there is lots of plastic and it would not hold up to severe use. I even used it as a chain saw (without the long handle) and it worked very well on the large branches up to 6 inches. Lots of power for electric I thought. Again, like previous reviews, my saw arrived in new condition even though it is sold as reconditioned. For the average homeowner you can't go wrong with this saw."

How I like the Pole Saw,
January 21, 2008
By CottonTopJohnfrom Valdosta, GA
"The Remington Electric Pole Saw is one of the easiest and best I've ever used. Right out of the box, it takes about 10 minutes to assemble it, you get a great manual for the operation and you get busy cutting with it. There's no hassel because the pole saw is electric and runs almost right-out-of-the-box. I liked it so well, I told my brother and he bought one too. I highly recommend it for small jobs around the house."

Pole chain saw,
October 29, 2007
By TreeCuttingManfrom Ooltewah,Tn
"I love my Remington pole chain saw. Every home owner should own one. It is several tools in one. Building a deck and your regular saw will not cut through 6X6 pole's, no problem, use your electric chain saw. Light weight, easy to use and clean after use. Easier to use than my regular 16 in chain saw for small jobs."

Functional trimmer,
October 8, 2007
By jb711from Fayetteville, AR
"This trimmer does what it is supposed to do. It is heavier than I expected and requires lots of muscle to use it with the pole fully extended. Some care must be used when orienting the handle trigger to the saw head. If the locking ring is not tightened extremely well, the saw head will turn on the pole. I use this rig with an AC portable generator which allows me to take the trimmer to pasture fence lines and the like. I have other Remington electric chain saws and they have performed well. With the pole fully collapsed, most people of average strength should be able to use it. At the refurbished price it is a bargain."

Cool tool,
July 9, 2007
By Tinwoodsmanfrom Rural Iowa
"I have REAL chainsaws, but was met with the challenge of needing a pole-mounted unit. I wanted to justify buying a really expensive gas/pole saw when I met one of these at a friend's house. It offered everything I needed and only cost about a third of what I had been looking at, and happens to be quite a bit lighter and I'm guessing easier to control (it is off when you let go of the trigger) I have already sold a couple of co-workers on the idea of a corded saw for light duty limbing around the house."

Perfect for occasional user,
July 9, 2007
By Ediotfrom Pennsylvania
"Bought this saw to help clear some of the trees from my yard and to help with some of the vines that were choking others. Considering the job for which I purchased it, it worked perfectly. Were I going into the forest for a few days I might get something bigger, but this saw was a great bargain and works flawlessly. If pressed to think of a negative, it would be that despite the lack of the gas engine the saw is still a bit heavy -- especially when the pole is fully extended and you're working overhead. But it's built solidly, performs well and gets the job done. In addition, 3 neighbors have asked to borrow it already."

Remington Electric Pole Saw is Outstanding,
March 6, 2007
By Lowefrom Leesville, SC
"I have used a friend's gas powered pole saw around our yard several times and found that for the money and infrequency of use, it wasn't worth paying several hundred dollars to purchase one. The electric pole saw is lighter, a lot less expensive and virtually maintenence free. I used our emergency generator with a 25 ft. extention cord to move around the yard and reach every tree that needed pruning. I also easily removed the saw from the pole to further cut the limbs into manageable lengths. You cannot do this with a gas pole saw. I stored the saw without having to stabilize gas or worry about the expense and trouble of maintaining a 2 cycle engine. Using this saw is an affordable way to safely prune limbs and greatly improve the appearance of our yard."
