"I was using my press last evening and got that usual thrill of having the right tool for the job. I remembered that I'd never written a review for it though, after using it hapily for several years, and I've decided to do so now..
This is not one of my most used tools, but when I need it, there isn't anything else that would do the job. I use it for straigntening, bending, punching and pressing gears, pullies, etc from shafts. The dual displacement pump allows me to bring the ram to the work quickly then "switch gears" and bring tremendous pressure to bear in a very controlled manner. Most bending and straightening jobs I do without even switching to the low speed.
I have never seen a hydraulic press of this quality and with these features for anywhere near the price. The only feature not present that I'd appreciate is a mounted winch to raise and lower the bed. I'll eventually make one for it but it hasn't been important enough to do yet.
I've found only one small downside. There is a very slow hydraulic oil drip from the high pressure pump."
