More Tool for the Buck,

"I was working on my 82 jeep CJ7 which needed a clutch replacement. I usually go to a mechanic to have work done but after a bad experience with a shop that did not leave my old parts in the back and refused to hand them over stating they had disposed of them I said no more, and I'm pretty handy with a wrench.
I was skeptical at first because my jeep is 4wd and the weight of the transfer case was well as its asymmetric positioning can cause unexpected complications as the transmission and transfer case are removed as a unit. Furthermore before positioning the jack I have to put a jack stand at the rear of the transfer case to hold the components in place as I removed a cross member. So there was only one viable way to attack the work, from the front.
I was unsure if it would have been too much weight and the jack would tilt but to my delight it held. Not only did it hold, it backed out easy and down easily. I sat back and grinned at the ease this jack made my work. I cannot believe the price of this tool. Talk about bang for the buck. It would have cost me $600 and another $300 for my clutch. The job in total was around $500. I saved $400 and got everything I wanted plus a brand new jack to boot!"

"r/r the transmission in my 1999 Ford Taurus Wagon, to attempt this without a transmission jack is asking for trouble. Buy lot of life insurance.
The jack worked great right out of the box.
I purchased extra link chain because my transmission is very large and
the chain included was not long enough. The chain keeps the transmission from
slipping of the flat plate on the jack.
I needed a few days to get the job done, if I rented a jack it would have cost
more money for the time I use my new Torin jack."

A real Transmission jack,

"This jack is the real deal. In the past I have rented transmission jacks that were not as good as this one. And most amazing of all is the price. I would expect half the jack for this price. I was surprised at the weight of the jack. I was removing and replacing the transaxle on a geo metro and it was almost too big. When I had the engine and trans on the ground it took over an hour to mate them. When they were in the car with this jack it took much less time and much less effort. Because of my set up I could not use the corner pieces but the supplied chain held the transaxle on the platform just fine. The adjustments allowe me to set the angle of the trans and bolt them right up. If I ever have to pull the Transaxle on my Tundra this jack will do it easily. I have to reinstall a fuel tank on a truck and this jack is going to make it much easier for me and I have an F-700 dump truck and this jack will serve me well.
Don't let the low price fool you, this jack is a heavy duty tool that will serve you well."

"When faced with a tranny install on my front wheel drive Ford Taurus, I dreaded the idea of using my 3 ton floor jack to tackle the job. So I ordered this transmission jack and the job was a snap! I recommend this jack to anyone who is a DIY. It's a absolute must for front wheel drive applications."

tranmission jack,

"I used this jack to position the tranmission on a 82 ford 1 ton van. I used it outside in winter weather. although the jack and tranmission together was to tall to fit under the vechile , I was able to hoist it up on the jack thru the side door with a engine lift. once I accomplish that it definitly speed up the mounting process! It was able to move in all direction as it has 4 swivil wheels. the pumping action was effortless and each stroke move it up a usable distance. The tiping and side to side tiping movement allowed perfect alingment. there is side tray like channels that i used to put the bolt so i had them handy. Its sturdyness gave me the confidance to work safely. i almost bought adapter unit for less money but it had less options, definatly worth the extra money!"
