Nice stand poorly manufactured,

"I had been looking forward to recieving the light geared head engine stand to complement my 6000# HD geared head stand. However I was dissapointed by the poor detailing on this unit. My problem was the engine mount "ears" were pinched on the ends and not able to slide out to the end of the loop. This left only 1/2 of the travel available. I repaired this problem rather than send parts back.. Also the holes drilled to fasten the legs up had to be enlarged to make the pin fit. After fixing these problems ith unit seems to be very good."

Great Engine Stand,

"I bought this engine stand along with another one from summit racing. The summit racing engine stand came with a drain pan which was a great feature BUT the problem was that the engine mount plates were very long, too long to be exact but this engine stand was great i bolted right up to a 99 cougar 2.5 engine (and let me tell you it was no fun!!) the other 3 engine stands I bought wouldn't bolt up because of the weird bolt pattern and several other complications due to the uniqueness of the engine. The only reason I gave it 4 stars which i would rate 4.5 is that when its folded up it is some what a pain to move around it has a habbit to wanna fall or tilt easily. All in all this is a great product!"
