"I own two of these and they are amazing jacks! I used to lug around a 100+ pound steel floor jack and dreaded loading it in my truck to do roadside repairs. Loading this jack is simple, and maneuvering it into place is a breeze, all thanks to it's light weight. It lifts fast and is easy to control lowering speed. They are great for getting under low vehicles with flat tires due to the low profile and are durable enough to lift most any vehicle up to a half ton pickup/suv. Anything larger and you'll need a larger jack. The only downside I have found is that my friends like the jack so much, and are too cheap to buy their own, so they always ask to borrow mine."

Race Jack,
March 13, 2007
By grammie1 from Eaton Rapids, MI
"This aluminum race jack is light weight which makes it easy to handle. It can be picked up and carried around to change from one area to the other. The low weight proved to be the best for working with it. The single piston pump raised the item up with one or two strokes. The pressure stayed in place all the while the aluminum race jack was in place. Works like the jacks used on NASCAR. Goes under objects without much pushing, pulling, when trying to put in place. The aluminum makes it a great weight to work with. Our previous jack was so heavy, that it took more time to move it around than getting the job done. We had previously discussed and looked for an aluminum race jack after the announcers on NASCAR explained what kind of jack the crews were using and how easy it was to move around. Glad you had this jack, it was the first one we had found that was lightweight. I purchased it for my husband for an early Christmas present, with arrival in mid-December. THANKS."

not as good as I had hoped,

"I have rebuilt car engines with only a shop manual to go by, but the instructions for this jack were very confusing. The diagram did not match the description. It takes forever to pump the jack up to the lifting point on the vehicle. It does have a nice design, and I really wanted the lower design since I could not get a normal jack under the ground effects on my wife's car, but the trade off of the lower maximum jacking height makes this a very specialized tool that will only be useful on the lower cars. It will be useless on my higher ground clearance Jeep."

11/2 Ton Torin Aluminum Floor Jack,
July 13, 2009
By jasyou1616 from Conyers, Georgia
"This is an Excellent Jack for any garage, big or small. Whether you make your living turning wrenches or if you're an ocassional oil changer around the house, you'll love this lightweight floorjack. Weigh's at least 1/3 less than you're average steel 11/2 ton floorjack. That mean's it's easier to roll around and to pickup to get in those hard to get to spot's."
