"I bought this jack for general shop use in vehicle repair and maintenance, and it fills the bill adequately. It's reasonably light for it's capacity, so it's easy enough to load on the back of the truck for use away from the shop. In particular I like the low height with jack lowered as it makes it easy to get it up under really low cars or one with a flat tire.
The only improvement I could suggest is one of those dual stage pumps that quickly lift the jacking pad up to the lift point on the vehicle with a few strokes and then the lifting cylinder takes over, as it takes quite a few strokes to get the lift pad up there, especially if the jack handle is up under the vehicle restricting stroke arc."
