Perfect winch,

"This winch is a perfect replacement for the Ranger Boats factory installed one. My boat is off and on the trailer a lot from March thru October. After wearing down a couple of teeth after 3 plus years of use on the original one, I thought I'd try a winch with a heavier rating. Big mistake. It broke after two months of use so I went back to this winch. It works flawlessly. If I wear it out I will buy another one from Northern Tool. It's $15 to $25 dollars cheaper than the local boat dealers' price and not available elsewhere in the area. Thanks Northern Tool and Fulton."

"Wow, what a difference between a 1400 to a 1800lb winch. I used to struggle to winch my 19ft boat on the trailer not any more, my only regret is I didn't buy one years ago."

Great Boat Winch,

"I ordered this high end boat winch to replace the inexpensive winch that came with my boat trailer.
The installation took less than 15 minutes and the positives of the winch were more than obvious.
Greater mechanical advantage so there was less effort used in winching the boat tight to the bow stop. The cover protects the mechanism from a majority of the elements along with keping the winch strap partially protected. The directional lock is readilly accessable and easy to operate."

"This winch is awesome -- I changed from an old, frayed, cable winch to the strap and what a difference! Doesn't tangle or slice your fingers!! I had to modify the attachment to make it fit - the casing was just a tad larger than I thought, but it has no problem pulling my boat on the trailer!"
