"We heat with wood and I was not sure if it would be strong enough but it has more than enough power to do the splitting I have to do. I was able to split wood at least 20 inches in diameter maybe large by working from the out side around. Engines starts easy and has the power to do the job. I am very happy with my splitter and would recommend it to my friends. Chris"

"The Ardisam log splitter is a fantastic bargain compared the products available in my local home centers and internet vendors. It is very well designed and engineered. The quality of materials, fasteners, welds, etc is very good. The Viper engine appears to be a Chinese made Honda copy. It starts on the first pull and runs as well as the Honda GX engine on my Honda lawn mower. I have split about 2 cords of oak and ash so far with no problems. It is not a monster by any means, but more than adequate for the 16-18" logs that I have split. Cycle time is fast enough for me. The splitter came fully assembled and filled with hydraulic fluid and engine oil, strapped to a pallet. For the money, I am very pleased with this product and would buy it again."
