pallet forks,
August 14, 2008
By timber1from i live in utah
"i thought that the forks would work better than they did. if you didn't have them tight enough they would move sideways. i bought them to use on my skidloader they work ok but not as good as i thought they would. but for the money i spent they are ok. i like the catalog it has alot of excellent items in it. i have purchased a few of them."

Paynes Forks Review,
August 13, 2008
By FARMDCfrom Dallas, TX
"After receiving the forks I quickly put them to the test. I have a John Deere 990 that can lift up to 800lbs and these fork perform excellent with the heavy loads. I was able to move and stack 12 inch I-beam over 20 feet long with no problem. There is no doubt that these forks do what the claim they can do. The only thing I did notice is the forks like to kick in or out on you (not Stay straight). You need to make sure you have them tightened down very tight. I also seen an accessory called the Stabilizer bar you could buy to prevent that from happening. As I have not ordered it yet but soon will. I would highly recommend these forks to anyone wanting to move items with a front end loader."

paynes forks #pf800,
August 11, 2008
By fixstufffrom Lewiston ME
"I finally got the chance to use my forks....they worked great! I cut some trees in the yard and left them in 6ft length and used the forks on my ingersoll 6018 tractor to move the logs I was able to just scoop them up and move and dump, never had to get off the tractor. when i was done I use the forks to move the brush pile off the lawn, only took a short time and the yard was clear, my friend had told my they did not look like much for the money, but after watching them work he changed his opinion. They work great for me and are very easy to install and remove. very glad I bought them."

Add on forks,
August 11, 2008
By DudleyDoritefrom North shore of Lake Superior
"Clamp on forks add so much versatility to the front end loader on my compact tractor. Makes it very easy to scoop up piles of brush and to carry large logs, lumber and plywood. They are extremely easy to put on and take off. While the forks themselves are built for a heavy load capacity, care must be taken not to overload and cause distortion to the leading edge of the bucket."

By Bob2008from Steamboat Springs, Colorado
"Bought a small tractor and needed forks to do some moving of hay bales and misc barn items. The forks work great on that tractor for what I used them for.. Now I just bought a bigger tractor and Im thinking of ordering the heavier duty ones that are 2000lbs, got a bigger tractor, need bigger forks......"

"Great product, easy to attach and remove. Light enough to handle and I am making holsters on my front end loader arms so I will always have them handy. I will be buying more equipment attachments from Northern & Paynes."

Paynes Forks light-duty 800-lbs capacity forks,
April 14, 2008
By Magunkfrom Peterstown, WV
"I would recommend these forks for anyone needing light duty forks. Simple to attach and works well from my bucket. I manufacture ceramics and move supplies from one building to another. You will need counterweight on the rear of your tractor to be able to lift rated weight. I used a piece of plastic under the bolts to protect my bucket from dimpling."

"Great product. Wish I would have bought them sooner. Miscellaneous items around the farm can be stacked on pallets and moved or rearranged as necessary. Works great for moving logs, pipe or even bales of hay."

PAYNES FORKS,
March 24, 2008
By DMOEfrom Churchville, Pa
"GOT A CHANCE THIS PAST WEEKEND TO USE MY FORKS. I HAD A VERY LARGE PILE OF WHITE PINE LIMBS. I WAS ABLE TO PICK UP THE PILE WITH JUST 3 LOADS. SAVED A LOT OF WORK FROM STACKING THE LIMBS ONTO THE FORKS. FORKS ARE WELL BUILT AND SEEM TO DO WHAT I WANTED THEM FOR."

Light Duty Forks,
January 16, 2008
By DaveRV4from Georgia
"Like most tools, these have great utility if used for the purpose advertised. These forks are for light duty lifting and they do a great job. I was surprised at how heavy they are... indestructible. Much depends on the quality of your bucket, though. They may leave some dents. One problem is visibility. Once in the seat of your tractor, you may not be able to see the tips of the forks, making delicate work rather difficult. Also the swing radius is rather large (the fork tips travel thru a long arc during turns) , so you must get accustomed to making small corrections as you approach a load. For the homeowner/landowner needing a tool for lifting/moving small loads, these forks are an excellent value."

Better engineering needed,
January 15, 2008
By CTFarmerfrom CT
"The forks are adequate but the screws that hold them in place in the bucket are not. There is no flat piece of steel on the end of the screw and it digs into the bucket and creates a "dimple" where engaged. The fix will be a piece of flat steel on the underside of the bucket and a couple of pads welded onto the end of the screws. Too bad the company couldn't have put a little more forethought into the product."

should have gotten them sooner,

"they make loading out of, and into my pickup a breeze. Because the tips have holes in them, I can easily run a chain or straps through the tips and use them for a suspension lift"

Excellent Product,
January 14, 2008
By GEM101from Lehighton, PA
"I use the forks every week to bring firewood to the house for that week. I have pallets with 3' sides for the wood and the forks allow me to set the pallets in place. The forks are easy to put on and take off as I do this each week. I use them with a NorTrac NT-204C Great product with many uses."

"I have used them to move some small downed trees but needed to add a chain to keep them from rolling off the forkes. Had to unload a lawn tractor from my pickup for repair and the forkes worked much better then the ramps would have to remove a nonworking unit. One thing that is keeping them from being 5 stars is the attaching screws need to have a different bottem then a flat cut that lets them move when tighting them to the bucket."
